What it is about
A bubbly new intern joined our hospital, always eager to “help.”
Except she constantly messed up. Wrong medications, incorrect charts, mixing up critical allergy alerts.
After several patient complaints piled up, I quietly pulled her aside and advised her to focus solely on her assigned duties. She resented me for it ever since.
Not long after her sister-in-law gave birth, she pretended she was bursting for the restroom and begged me to hold the baby.
The second I took the bundle, she burst into theatrical tears.
