The Heiress's Revenge Stealing My Name Was Your Last Mistake
Chapter 1
A slip of my finger sent a photo of the blue diamond necklace I bought for Grandma straight into her senior academy's group chat.
A fellow student’s granddaughter immediately tagged me, spewing venom:
"Can a broke loser like you even afford that? Who gave you permission to post pictures of my necklace? Get lost if you just want to show off!"
I was totally bewildered. What was this girl’s problem?
Unwilling to back down, she posted the original receipt for the necklace, along with photos of herself wearing it from every possible angle over the past several months.
She then turned right back around to tear into me:
"If you ever dare steal my photos again or impersonate me, the heiress of the Sullivan Group, I’ll make sure you regret ever being born!"
I was utterly stunned.
Did my dad secretly reverse the vasectomy he got right after I was born?
After returning from abroad, I took the cheapest BMW in our garage to pick up Grandma from her senior community college.
Distracted by an incoming call on the way, my thumb slipped, and I accidentally sent a picture of the blue diamond necklace I had bought for her directly into her class’s group chat.
I scrambled to unsend the photo, but the seniors and their family members were already buzzing with excitement.
"Whoa! Look at the size of that blue diamond! That must cost a fortune!"
"Turns out we have a closet billionaire right here in our senior class!"
"Miss Megan Miller, please drop by our group chat more often! Show us regular folks how the ultra-rich live!"
"Wait, I remember reading about this in the news! A blue diamond necklace was bought at a private auction in a European castle by the heiress of the Sullivan Group. Could Grandma Miller’s granddaughter actually be Mr. Sullivan’s daughter?"
I hadn’t expected anyone to guess my identity so quickly.
Naturally low-key, I was just about to laugh it off with a casual excuse.
Suddenly, a girl named Zoey Sullivan tagged my name and tore into me:
"You broke loser! Can you even afford something like that? Who gave you permission to post my necklace? If you want to show off, get lost!"
"You need a Black Card membership just to be eligible to buy that necklace. Have you ever even seen a Black Card in your pathetic life?"
"You have no money, yet you’re lurking in an old folks' group trying to play rich. Shameless!"
I was completely baffled by her unprovoked rage. I bought this necklace with my own money, so why was she throwing a tantrum? Was she out of her mind?
Curious, I replied, "When exactly did you buy it?"
Zoey instantly fired back several screenshots from her Instagram.
Month after month, photos showed her wearing the exact same blue diamond necklace.
Then, she slapped a photo of the purchase receipt into the chat and cursed at me:
"You cheap fake, you really have the nerve to ask when I bought it? I’ve worn this piece so much it's practically worn out!"
"If you ever dare steal my photos again or pretend to be the Sullivan heiress, I’ll make sure you regret ever being born!"
Her whole routine left me dizzy with confusion.
Instantly, the other seniors and their relatives rallied behind Zoey.
"These days, the one with receipts is the one telling the truth! Thank goodness Miss Sullivan saw through the scam in time, or we might have been swindled out of all our savings by these two grifters!"
"I knew it! The heiress of the Sullivan Group bought that piece. That old lady Miller and her granddaughter don’t even share the Sullivan last name. How could they have anything to do with the Sullivan Group? Total fraudsters!"
"How did the senior academy even admit trash like this? Someone needs to investigate whether Mrs. Miller pulled strings to get in here just to run scams. Absolutely disgusting!"
Pleased with the reaction, Zoey chimed in smugly, "If this fraud hadn't tried to impersonate me today, I wouldn't have even bothered revealing my identity."
Furious at their baseless accusations, I shot back: "I accidentally sent a wrong picture, that’s all. Do you really need to launch personal attacks against my grandmother and me? Just because Zoey claims she’s an heiress? Anyone can Photoshop a receipt or an image nowadays!"
Zoey sneered and tagged everyone in the chat:
"This weekend, I’m hosting all of you on my family's five-star luxury cruise ship to thank you for taking such good care of my grandma."
Her tone abruptly chilled: "As for those two scammers, don't bother showing up. Nothing disgusts me more than vain, money-grubbing liars. Trying to steal my identity? Look in the mirror, you cheap trash!"
Beyond my anger, I couldn't help feeling completely puzzled.
She sounded so supremely confident.
Did my dad lie about his vasectomy all those years ago? Was Zoey really his secret love child?
The seniors and their families rushed to stroke her ego and take her side.
"Grandma Miller’s granddaughter has no shame! Miss Sullivan has the real necklace and is treating our entire class to a five-star cruise. She’s generous, wealthy, and totally sincere! Meanwhile, this girl has zero proof and dares question Miss Sullivan!"
"When a broke nobody gets exposed, what class do you expect? All she knows is how to act like a shameless brat! We all know who's real and who's fake!"
"Knowing isn't enough! Scum like this shouldn't pollute our civilized senior group. The class coordinator needs to kick this scamming duo out!"
Taking the cue, the class coordinator stepped in to lecture me: "Young lady, this is not the place for your petty con games. Basic manners and honesty are the bare minimum for being a decent human being! You and your grandmother need to reflect on yourselves!"
With that, she banned both my account and my grandmother's from the group.
I shook my head in disbelief. Arguing with a bunch of fools was a complete waste of energy.
I drove straight to pick up Grandma, deciding to put the whole ridiculous mess behind me.
