I was at my private research facility on a remote island, finally making a breakthrough. I couldn't wait to share the good news with my wife.

But right then, her new male assistant showed up, bringing his entire family to the island.

I didn't think much of it, figuring they’d just come to the wrong place. I stayed focused on my experiment.

Yet, his family just barged straight into the lab.

Blake, in his ridiculous beach shorts, spotted me and immediately started barking orders.

“Hey, are you the receptionist here? Got any common sense?”

“Don’t you know I’m here for a vacation today? Hurry up and grab our luggage!”

Watching him turn off the main experimental switch, mistaking it for an AC remote, made a bitter laugh bubble up my throat.

“You’re Chloe’s… husband? Don’t you know this is her lab?”

“You’re here causing trouble. Aren’t you afraid she’ll get mad?”

If Chloe found out that her decade-long experiment, something she’d poured her heart and soul into, was just destroyed by some fake “Mr. Blake,”

Would she still want this imposter?
