My Bride Use Herself to Save My Brother
Chapter 3
The next day, Selena also returned.
"I heard you've been with Leo these past few days. Is that right?" I demanded, my voice sharp.
She didn’t even bother to hide it, stating defiantly,
"Yes, he hasn’t been well lately, so I've been with him. Alex, he's a patient now, and he's your brother!"
I looked at her, a cold laugh escaping my lips.
"So, I should share my wife with my brother?"
She raised her hand, ready to slap me again, but her 4-inch heels made her stumble and fall.
The tattoo of a tooth mark on her inner thigh was exposed.
Selena had once told me it was a birthmark.
I grabbed her leg.
"I've never asked you, but how is it that your 'birthmark' just happens to be shaped like a tooth?"
Selena glared at me, spitting, "Are you crazy, Alex?! We’re getting married soon. Why are you doubting me?"
I leaned closer, pressing on. "What perfume are you wearing today? Why does it smell like that musky, earthy scent again?"
Selena immediately tensed.
She stood up, stammering, "I'm tired. I’m going to shower first."
I smiled. Even now, she wouldn't confess.
Fine, let her not confess. It would make the wedding day reveal even better.
I looked at the circled date on the calendar, finding it painfully ironic.
While she showered, I called Luna.
"Luna, my wedding is missing a bride. Would you like to be her?"
Luna seemed shocked by my words. She didn't reply for a long moment. Five minutes passed before she cautiously asked,
"Really?"
I smiled into the phone.
"Yes, it's real."
Selena came out just as I ended the call with Luna.
"Who were you just talking to?" Selena asked, toweling her hair dry.
"Luna."
She frowned, looking at me.
"Didn't I tell you before to stop seeing Luna?"
I lied to her. "I just told her to come over, so she can finally get over me."
Selena's expression noticeably brightened after hearing that.
She tried to come closer, to be intimate, but I subtly pulled away.
"I'm tired today." I looked at her, weary.
Not physically tired, but emotionally exhausted.
