Chapter 2
"Ding! Congratulations, Host, you've activated the Live Prediction System!"
The moment I opened my phone, a huge screen popped up in front of me. Turns out, my ability to see scores was also due to being linked to a system—it just hadn't been fully activated in my previous life.
A robotic voice echoed from the system.
"Host, please accept your mission: Before scores are released, successfully predict the scores of 10,000 live call-ins. Mission success reward: Julian's grade-swap system will malfunction. Mission failure penalty: Host will die."
My eyes widened, and I trembled with excitement. My original goal for going live was just to use public opinion to force Julian and Chloe to confess the truth about the score swap.
Now, things just got a whole lot easier.
"So, if I succeed, my scores will come back?"
"Yes, Host."
Remembering that hellhole of a mental asylum from my last life, I didn't hesitate to hit the confirm button. That hellish place. I swore I'd never set foot in it again.
I quickly opened my live stream, and the system began its countdown.
"Mission countdown: 24 hours begins!"
Ten minutes had already ticked off the 24-hour clock on the screen, but my live stream was completely empty. Even if someone clicked in, they left just as quickly.
To get 10,000 live call-ins before the scores were released, I'd have to stream non-stop, without eating or sleeping. Otherwise, I wouldn't just lose my scores again; I'd die. Again.
I quickly logged onto the school forum and posted anonymously: "SHOCKING! Top Senior Student Going Live to Predict College Entrance Exam Scores – 100% Accuracy!"
In less than ten minutes, over twenty people flooded into my live stream.
[Can she really predict scores?]
[She's a fraud, the scores aren't even out yet.]
[Isn't that Stella Sterling, the number one student?]
I took a deep breath and tapped the 'Join Call' feature.
"Welcome to my live stream. I can accurately predict your college entrance exam scores and which university you'll get into. If you don't believe me, call in and verify."
The comments section was filled with skepticism, but soon, the first call-in request popped up.
I accepted it, and a familiar face appeared on the screen—Ryan, the basketball team captain. A notorious troublemaker, always looking for a fight.
"Well, well, if it isn't our number one student," Ryan smirked, his eyes full of mockery. "You claim you can predict scores? So tell me, what did I get?"
I gazed at his head; a clear number floated there: 423 points, with the name of a local sports college beneath it.
"423 points, Sports College." I said calmly.
Ryan's face changed dramatically, then he burst out laughing.
"Bullshit! I can get at least 500 points! My practice tests were always over 500!"
The comments section blew up:
[LOL! What a trainwreck!]
[Ryan actually has decent grades though]
[Stella's gonna crash and burn this time]
I simply smiled. "You'll see when the scores are out. Next?"
Muttering curses, he slammed the 'End Call' button, but the number of viewers in my stream had already climbed to over 300.
Looks like controversy really does bring traffic.
The second call-in was from an unfamiliar girl, wearing a mask that only revealed her eyes.
"I... I want to see if you can really tell?"
I looked at her head: 586 points, State University.
"586 points, State University."
The girl's eyes widened. "That... that's actually the school I want to apply to."
The tide of comments began to shift:
[OMG, how is she so accurate?!]
[It's a setup, right?]
[Let's keep watching, maybe she's just guessing.]
Over the next hour, I predicted scores and colleges for over twenty more people. Some believed, some didn't, but my viewer count had already surpassed 2,000.
My live stream became so popular that even Julian, who lived next door, stumbled upon it.
