My phone was pressed to my ear, and through the receiver, I heard my Aunt Eleanor's voice, full of concern.

"Liam, are you truly sure about this?"

I nodded slightly, my voice firm as I replied, "Yes!"

A soft sigh came from the other end of the line. Aunt Eleanor then continued,

"You're the sole heir of the Northwood Group, yet you’ve stayed away for seven years, all for one woman. Now that you've finally come to your senses, it's not too late. So, when do you plan on coming home?"

Aunt Eleanor half-joked, "Fine. I'll be attending a gala in a neighboring city in three days; I can pick you up on my way back. But are you absolutely sure you've completely given up on Seraphina? Don't tell me you'll be back to throwing yourself at her feet again the moment you step foot back home…"

"Aunt, don't worry. I've completely given up on Seraphina. In three days, we'll officially go our separate ways!"
