After Discovering My Husband's Secret, I Went on a Killing Spree

Chapter 4

2,833 words

What I saw were explicit videos and all sorts of extremely provocative, vulgar messages.

The main characters were none other than Liam and Eleanor.

In the video, Eleanor was straddling Liam, her arms tightly wrapped around his neck.

Her lips were wildly kissing his.

And Liam, my husband who had sworn he only felt familial respect for Eleanor, showed no resistance at all.

He even lifted his hand, stroking Eleanor’s hair in return.

Their movements were practiced and synchronized, clearly not their first time.

“Liam, give me a child, please. I’m so lonely, just give me…”

In the throes of passion, Eleanor moaned softly.

I felt all the blood rush to my head.

My stomach churned. I rushed into the guest bathroom and vomited until I was dizzy.

So, the so-called filial piety, the so-called responsibility, were all just pretexts for their affair.

Every single one of my compromises and concessions had become a joke in their eyes.

Liam and Eleanor, those disgusting animals, had made a fool out of me.

I leaned against the wall, wiping the stains from my mouth.

I didn’t cry, and I didn’t make a fuss.

Instead, I calmly walked to the bed and picked up the phone.

I saved the video, which was enough to destroy everything they had.

Then I sent it to my private email.

After doing all that, I changed my clothes and left that disgusting place without looking back.

I drove aimlessly through the streets.

As dawn approached, I parked my car in front of a twenty-four-hour coffee shop.

I needed a plan.

A plan that would ruin them and make them pay a heavy price.

My phone rang then. It was Liam.

I hung up.

He called again quickly, persistent.

I hung up again, then blocked his number.

Soon, his messages flooded in.

“Chloe, where did you go? Why aren’t you home?”

“Why aren’t you answering my calls? Are you mad at me?”

“Eleanor’s ankle isn’t serious, just a soft tissue contusion.”

“Please come back, okay? Let’s talk things through.”

“I admit my attitude was bad last night. I apologize.”

Looking at those hypocritical words, I just found them laughable.

I took out my phone and dialed my college friend.

She was the most famous divorce lawyer in the city.

“Hey, it’s me, Chloe.”

“I need your help. I want a divorce.”

“And I want my husband and his wonderful stepmom to leave with nothing.”

My friend, Sarah, on the other end, paused, wanting to speak but quickly stifled her curiosity and returned to her professional demeanor.

“Send me all the documents. I’ll start processing it for you tomorrow when I’m at work.”

“Okay.”

After hanging up, I packaged that video, along with all the times and reasons Eleanor had interrupted us that I had documented, and sent them over.

The evidence was irrefutable.

I closed my eyes, the disgusting scene of Liam and Eleanor entwined flashing in my mind.

Liam, Eleanor.

Your karma begins now.

That is the end of the free sample.
