Chapter 3

Declan took Cora to "The Nightfall."

It's Milo's private establishment.

No matter who you are, you need a reservation to enter. I had no choice but to face Milo.

"So, now you remember me?"

He lounged lazily on the sofa, swirling the red wine in his hand.

Milo was exceptionally handsome.

Even with such an annoying expression on his face, he still looked good.

I sulked and didn't answer.

Seeing my silence, he got a bit annoyed.

"What do you want?"

"To go to 'The Nightfall' to find Declan."

Upon hearing this, Milo downed his wine in one go.

He grabbed my neck, pulling me into his embrace. His cool lips carried the scent of wine.

Overwhelming me.

His fiery kiss was like a flame, forcefully igniting me.

"Adeline Harper, you still dare think of him? Did you forget what you promised me when you slept with me?!"

My heart trembled, my cheeks instantly burning.

The day Declan proposed breaking off the engagement, I went to a bar to drink away my sorrows and was drugged.

In my stupor, I mistook Milo for Declan and slept with him.

He was furious then.

"Adeline Harper, look carefully. I'm not Declan."

I felt so awful, I couldn't care less.

I directly pounced on him.

Swallowing all his words, I clung to him, wanting more several times over.

Until the next morning.

Seeing his face, I was suddenly aware.

Oh my god, I actually slept with my fiancé's Uncle Milo.

He rested against the bed, half-dressed.

"What, scared now that it's over?"

Swallowing hard, I shook my head, then fiercely nodded.

"I warn you, I won't be the third wheel. Break up with Declan tomorrow, got it?"

I agreed like a pecking chick.

Then turned and ran.

Now, he was looking at me with a leisurely gaze.

His narrow, beautiful eyes carried a smile not reaching the bottom, "Running after sleeping with someone, you're something else."
