2020 Buhl Day
on Labor Day
Monday, September 7
has been cancelled
After much deliberation the Buhl Day Executive Board is sad to announce that Buhl Day 2020, will not take place. This Year’s celebration honoring Julia and Frank Buhl, and all of the activities associated with it, are being cancelled due to the uncertain atmosphere surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic.
This year would have been the 40th anniversary of Buhl Day, since it was revived, but due to distancing guidelines, and the uncertainty of where our state and local area will be in the recovery phase, the board felt it best to cancel this day where hundreds gather to enjoy the summer’s last “Picnic in the Park”.
The Buhl Day committee relies solely on the generosity of the public, and their financial support through its’ fundraising efforts, to fund this yearly celebration and when so many individuals and businesses are suffering financial hardships, in addition to the many obstacles that social and physical distancing provide, it is their opinion that the 40th anniversary celebration will be best postponed until Buhl Day, Labor Day, 2021.
