The Alpha's Penalty

Tala Vance has two rules: Never shift on the ice, and never let a man control her again. As the only female player in the male-dominated professional hockey league, Tala has spent five years hiding in plain sight. She hides her supernatural speed, her unnatural strength, and the fact that she is a wolf-shifter running from a forced, abusive mating bond. She finally has her life under control-until a brutal, illegal check on the ice lands her in the team's medical room.

Enter Kael Thorne. Brooding, terrifyingly handsome, and the new team physiotherapist. He isn't there to heal her. He's a Lycan Enforcer and the ruthless head of the Mafia, sent by her powerful father to drag her back to the pack. But when his hands touch her bare skin, a violent, electric spark ignites. They are fated mates.

To escape her father's grasp, Tala agrees to Kael's dangerous deal: a fake marriage to protect her under his underworld empire. But when a video of Tala using her wolf strength goes viral, the human media descends, and the Supernatural Council demands her execution to protect their secret. Now, Tala is caught in a deadly game between her father, the Council, and the terrifying monster who claims to be her mate. Kael swears he will burn the world to keep her safe, but can Tala trust a mafia boss with her heart-or will Kael's dark world be the end of her career, and her life?
