Teasing your wicked heart

Following her father's passing, Lady Sarah Jane is handed down to her inheriting uncles and cousins as the obedient ward who no one wanted to take care of. After the passing of her last surviving family members and the impending dissolution of the Rosenberg title, Sarah Jane had to figure out how to protect herself in a culture that prioritizes men.

Finding an old document that might save her life, she learns of the unusual agreement her father had with the late Viscount Killsworth. By signing the arrangement, she puts herself in the capable hands and compassionate care of Killsworth's son, an unmarried man who ends up becoming her guardian and protector. Due to a secret, Lord Killsworth isolates himself.

He is happy about the sizeable bequest, but he was not prepared for the ill-mannered, barbaric ward that comes with it. However, he quickly understands that giving in to his ward's demands for a season would be the last straw to save his shattered, evil heart.
