My husband’s kept woman was in a car accident and desperately needed a liver transplant. The only match? My own mother.

The day Declan Hayes forced my mother onto the operating table, I knelt, sobbing uncontrollably, my forehead bleeding from hitting the ground, begging him. But he had me locked away in solitary confinement.

Three days later, the surgery was a success.

Declan stood before me, impeccably dressed in a suit, his eyes as cold as if I were a stranger. “The surgery went well. I’ve arranged for someone to look after your mother.”
